Dogs just have something calming about them.
Service animals also can do dome really amazing things too. The artist actually has a service dog (C) 🐕🦺 that helps her eith Fin (the FND alien) by doing seizure alert (telling her to get down so she doesn't fall or getting someone if she is seizing or has fallen) along with pressure therapy and getting help for tic attacks. It's took about 2 ish years to train her but she's amazing.
(ESA (emotional support animals) and Service animals (also called assistance dogs) are not the same thing and have different laws around public access rights and housing rights. For service animals they do not need to be registered or even marked however having them marked makes for less questions. (This depends on country but in the USA that's how are laws are) if you are looking into it please look into your local laws)
